Learning from Nature

First of all, what is nature? Nature is the intrinsic characteristic that plants, animals, and other features of the world develop of their own accord. The word nature can refer to the phenomena of the physical world, and also to life in general. It also can refer to the general realm of living plants and animals, and in some cases to the processes associated with inanimate objects- the way that particular types of things exist and change of their own accord, suc as weather and geology of the Earth. It is often taken to the mean the natural environment or wilderness- wild animals, rocks, forest, and in general those things that have not been substantially altered by human intervention, or which persist despite human intervention.
Nature has given us a lot of benefits. For example oxygen, food, and even materials for our projects and houses. Also being outdoors is very good for us. These are the following reasons.

1.      Vitamin D
One reason time outdoors may contribute to health is the exposure to Vitamin D producing sunlight. This vital pre- hormone is responsible for many aspects of health throughout the body. Vitamin D deficiency has been linked to various types of cancer and obesity, as well as mental disorder and other health problems.

2.      Exercise
Unless your version of spending time involves driving into the woods and just sitting there, most nature experiences also include some form of exercises from rock climbing, swimming, hiking, and canoeing, most forms of outdoor activity also include movement. We all know the benefit of exercise, yet most of us still aren’t getting enough exercise regularly. Spending time outdoors provides a chance for fun movement along with other benefits of nature.

3.      Fresh Air
Spending time outdoors is a break from indoor pollution and outdoor air may have additional benefits as well. Outdoor air is a good source of beneficial negative ions and places like the beach and near waterfalls are especially good sources. These negative ions are also present in sunlight and after thunderstorm, when we  can smell the unique freshness of the air .

4.      Eye health
We are seeing an increase in vision problems, especially in children. One possible reason is the amount of time that many of us spend looking at a computer or TV screen. While children used to spend most of their time outdoors looking at a wide variety of colors, level of brightness and depths, they now spend up to seven hours a day staring at a TV, computer or tablet screen with artificial light.. Staring at a screen can also lead to eye fatigue, headaches, neck or back problem and other problems when their adult.

So nature has given us a lot of benefits. It will be a shame if we destroy our own sources of healthiness in life. Yes indeed some of our activities had already dealt damage to nature. But we still can save nature. These are some of the ways.

1.      Create a compost heap in our garden or use a compost bin
2.      Bring our own eco-bags and say no to plastic
3.      Try using public transportation to work. Or Cycling if possible
4.      Send your plastic rubbish to the recycling facilities
5.      Do not pour chemicals and waste oil into the ground

These are some of the way you can do to save nature. So whatever you do, please think twice whether it will damage nature or will it save nature. Also remember to spend your time more outside rather than inside because it will be beneficial to us.

The reason why i am writing this is because i wanted to thank someone for this person's effort. There is no way i will be able to understand the parabolic motion which is a chapter in the physics lesson. Also I am not going to mention this person's name because i think i know she will recognize that it is her if she read this post.

This person helped me a couple of days ago. This person came to my house in the noon which i really appreciated. This person stayed for approximately 2 hours. I was extremely desperate and i could not understand any of the parabolic motion because i struggle a lot on physics. My logic could not help me with this lesson. I know physics is similar to math and i like math but i was just desperate at studying this chapter.

This person taught me literally from basics. This person taught me the formulas related to that chapter. This person  also taught me when to use that formula and why to use that certain formula. After this person explain everything, we started to practice on doing some questions. This person patiently taught me how to finished all of the questions in my practice book. That really helped me a lot because in a couple of days, i will have a test.

Gratefully i can finish my test and i hope the results is good.
Thank you for your help. Really appreciate it.

My Year End Holiday

All of you know there were Year End Holidays in December until January. In my school, the holiday started from 23 of December 2016 until 9 of January 2017. My family didn't went out of town during holidays. We just travel around the city for the first week. Here's what happened.

On the first week, my cousin came to visit me and my family. He's from the island of Papua. He came to visit us because right now he is on his last semester on high school. So he wanted to know the university in the island of Java. He was confused where to continue to study. His dad told him that he should continue at UNPAD to become a doctor. But he wanted to become a psychology. So me and my family took him to UNPAD to see the university. After all I wanted to study at Unpad to become a doctor so it was also a good trip for me to know what my future university looked like.

There we visited two faculties. The first one was the medical school and the second one was the psychology faculty.
this is the medical school (I'm on the left side)

this the psychology school

We also visited Institut Teknologi Bandung also known as ITB. There we just do the same thing as we did in UNPAD. We looked around the facility. Also my dad had some work in the civil lab to test some materials with his co-worker. But unfortunately, it was cancelled.

Thats my first week. Unfortunately the second week was not so interesting as the first one. I mean I didn't do anything. My activities were just playing computer games, studying, and playing with my friends. Also I went to dinner  with my family occasionally.

So that was my holiday. How about yours?

Once upon a time there was an old sow with three little pigs. She had no money to keep them, so she sent them off to seek their fortune
NARRATOR: The three pigs went different ways. Soon pig 1 met a man who was selling straw.

PIG 1: I need some straw, would you sell it to me?.

MAN: Of course. Take it.

Pig 1 paid the man and went to buid his house. Later, Pig 2 met a man who was selling wood.

PIG 2: Please Sir, I need some wood to build my house. Would you sell it to me?.

MAN: Yes. Take it.

Pig 2 paid the man and went on his way to make his wood house. Later, Pig 3 met a man who was selling bricks.

PIG 3: Excuse me Sir, I need some bricks. Are they for sale?.

MAN: Of course. Take them.

Pig 3 paid the man and went on his way to build his brick house. When the three pigs finished their houses they moved in. Pig 1 was taking a nap when someone knocked at the door. Pig 1 looked through the window and saw a wolf.

WOLF: Little pig, little pig, let me in!.

PIG 1: Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin.

WOLF: Then I´ll huff andI´ll puff and I´ll blow your house in.

The wolf huffed and puffed and destroyed pig 1 house. Pig 1 ran all the way to pig 2 house. When he got there Pig 1 told Pig 2 what had happened. Pig 2 invited Pig 1 to live with him. After a few days, there was a knock at the door. The two pigs looked out the window and it was the wolf.

WOLF: Little pigs, Little pigs, let me in!.

PIG 1 AND 2: Not by the hairs on our chinny-chin-chins.

WOLF: Then I´ll huff andI´ll puff and I´ll blow your house in.

The wolf huffed and puffed and destroyed the house. The pig brothers ran all the way to pig 3 house. When they got there pig 1 and pig 2 told pig 3 everything that had happened. Then pig 3 invited his two brothers to live with him. After a few days, there was a knock at the door. The pigs looked out the window and they saw the wolf.

WOLF: Little pigs, Little pigs, let me in!.

PIGS 1, 2, AND 3: Not by the hairs on our chinny-chin-chins.

WOLF: Then I´ll huff andI´ll puff and I´ll blow your house in.

The wolf huffed and puffed several times but he couldn´t destroy the brick house. Then the wolf decided to think what to do, so he went and sat in a log. Meanwhile, the three pigs started cooking dinner. They put a large pot of water in the fireplace to cook some soup.

WOLF: I know what to do. I´ll get in through the chimney and I will eat those pigs.

The wolf climbed up to the roof. But he didn`t know that there was a pot of boiling water at the bottom of the chimney. Then the three pigs heard a noise.

WOLF: I´m coming to get you cutie pigs!.

The wolf then jumped down the chimney and fell into the pot of boiling water.

The wolf jumped back up the chimney and ran into the woods. The pigs lived in peace and never saw the wolf again.
