  Jacob Grimm was born in the year 1785. He and his brothers were believed as the savior of the fairy tale. He was born at Hanau, Germany. He is also a philologist, a mythologist, and a jurist.

  Wilhelm Grimm was born in the year of 1786, a year after his brother, Jacob Grimm. He works as an author even though he studied law at the university.

  On the early days, they lived in Hanau with their parents. Their father is a lawyer. Because of that, both of them went to the University of Marburg to study law. After they passed, Jacob went on to work as a royal librarian for Napoleon's brother. Later, Jacob join his brother to work at a library, where Wilhelm had obtained a position as secretary.

  The brothers robustly studied the folklore of their region, with an emphasis on recording villager oral storytelling was vanishing with the advent of new technology.Jacob's and Wilhelm's work culminated in the book Kinder-und Hausmärchen (Children's and Household Tales), the first volume of which was published in 1812. A second volume followed in 1815. The collection would later come to be known as Grimms' Fairy Tales.

The examples of their stories are Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and many more great stories.
